Anil scores big hundread in Nepal's win

Nepal registered a 223 run huge victory in the third practice game of Europe Tour against East London on Wednesday on the back of a solid hundred by young Anil Kumar Sah and a 98 from the bat of Sharad Veswakar.
East London won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first. Nepal lost Subash Khakurel (8), Gyanendra Malla (9) and Paras Khadka (4) cheaply as Nepal was struggling at 58/3 when the Sharad joined Anil in the crease. The due then added 212 runs for the fourth wicket to take Nepal to a huge total. Anil smashed 131 runs from 118 balls with 19 fours and 3 sixes. Sharad got out for 98 runs as he missed a well deserved hundred by just 2 runs. Sompal Kami scored 29 runs from 20 balls at the later stage of the innings as Nepal posted 338/8 from the allotted 50 overs.
Chasing a target of 339 runs, the local side was bundled out for mere 115 runs in 38.5 overs. Darren Ironside was the top scorer with 38 runs whileAkash Raji (27) andBhaj Purewal(22) were the only other batsmen who crossed double digit score. Shakti Gauchan was the pick of the bowlers for Nepal as he finished with the figures of 23/4 from 9.5 overs which included 5 maiden overs. Lalit Rajbanshi and Karan KC bagged 2 wickets each while Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airee shared a wicket each.
Nepal had won the first practice match in the Europe Tour while lost the second one. Nepal will now play their third and last practice game of the tour against East London Shark before participating in the Triangular series in July 29.
