India and Pakistan register wins in the first day of the Super Four in the ongoing Asia Cup at UAE. India outplayed Banglaesh while Pakistan pull off a sensational victory over Afghanistan in the last over of their chase.
Rohit and Jadeja guide India to a comfortable win
Ravindra Jadeja shined with the ball in his comeback match as he finished with the figures of 4-29 from his 10 overs. Bangladesh were bundled out for 173 runs in the first innings after India won the toss and decided to field first. The duo of Bhuvneswor Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah shared 3 wickets each to restrict Bangladesh to a low total.
India comfortable chased down the target of 174 runs with 7 wickets and82 balls remaining. Skipper Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 83 runs off 104 deliveries which included 5 fours and 3 sixes. Shikhan Dhawan scored 40 runs while MS Dhoni scored 33 runs for India.Jadeja was adjudged man of the match for his match winning spell.

Malik held his nerves to pull off sensational win over Afghanistan
Experienced Shoaid Malik scored a six and a boundary in the last over of the innings to pull off a sensational victory over Afghanistan. Chasing a target of 258 runs to win, Imam ul Haq and Babar Azam recovered Pakistan from the early loss of Fakhar Zaman. Imam scored 80 while Babar was out for 66 runs. Man of the Match Shoaid Malik remained unbeaten on 51 runs as he held his nerves in the later stage to guide his team to victory.
