Bangladesh thrash Srilanka with Mushfiqur's ton
Bangladesh defeated Srilanka by a huge margin of 137 runs in the opening match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2018 at Dubai. Mushfiqur Rahim was the star for Bangladesh with the bat as he scored a brilliant hundred in the first innings.
Lasith Malinga struck with 2 wickets in the very first over as Bangladesh were struggling at 2/1. To add troubles to Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal went off the field with an injury. Mushfiqur along with Mohammad Mithun added 131 runs to revive Bangladesh innings. Mithun scored 63 while Mushfiqur was out for 144 runs off 150 balls with 11 fours and 4 sixes.
Srilanka in reply were bundled out for just 124 runs with Dilruwan Perera top scoring with 29 runs. Mustafizur Rehman, Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehidy Hasan shared 2 wickets each for Bangladesh.
