Bravo stars as CSK back with a win over Mumbai

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) came out victorious in the first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday. Chennai defeated defending champions Mumbai Indians by 1 wicket in a thrilling enounter. Chennai are making a comeback in the tournament after atwo-year spot-fixing ban.
Dwayne Bravo was the star for Chennai as he blasted 68 runs from 30 balls to guide his team to victory. Mumbai were the favorites when Chennai needed 47 runs from last 3 overs. Bravo then took the responsibility and blasted 2 sixes in the 18th over to McClenaghan and 3 sixes in 19th before getting out to Bumrah. Both 18th and 19th over yielded 20 runs each. An injured Kedar Jadhav scored consecutive boundaries in the last over after playing 3 dot balls and took his team to victory.
Earlier, Mumbai finished on 165/4 from 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav was the top scorer for them with 43 runs while Krunal Pandya played an unbeaten knock of 41 runs from 22 balls. Shane Watson was the pick of the bowlers for CSK as he finished with the figures of 2-29.
