Caribbean and NCC reach the semi finals of Caribbean Inter College Cricket Tournament

The first quarter final match today was played between CARIBBEAN COLLEGE and KINGS COLLEGE at the Pulchowk Engineering Campus Cricket Ground. KINGS won the toss and decided to field first. Caribbean scored an impressive 192 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. Sagar Pakhrin from CARIBBEAN scored the highest with 56 runs from 54 balls, Rabin Khadka scored 55 runs from 45 balls and Jay Prakash Gupta from CARIBBEAN scored 40 runs in only 18 balls. Akash KC from KINGS took 2 wickets in 4 overs giving 18 runs.

Chasing the target Kings College managed to score 114 run in 17 over with the loss of all wickets. Akash KC was the highest scorer from Kings with 23 runs in 12 balls. Mahendra Sharma from CARIBBEAN took 3 wickets in 4 overs at the loss of 24 runs, and Aajad Sharma took 2 wickets in 2 overs giving 7 runs. Jay Prakash Gupta was declared the Man of the Match for his brilliant batting performance 40 runs of 18 balls and took 2 wickets in 4 overs at the loss of 33 runs.CARIBBEAN were the 1st team to qualify for the Semi Finals by winning the match against Kings College by 78 runs.

In the Caribbean Inter College Cricket Tournament second quarter final match today, NEB TEAM B won the toss and elected to bat first. NEB TEAM B made a total of 57 runs in 20 overs losing all their wickets. Deepak from NEB TEAM B scored the highest of 11 runs in 54 balls.

The target of 58 runs was easily achieved by NCC in 8 overs at the loss of only 3 wickets. The highest scorer from NCC was Abhishek Basnet who made 29 runs in 22 ball. Navin Thapa from NCC was declared the Man of the Match as he took 4 wickets in 4 overs giving away only 9 runs.
