Curran hat-trick gives Punjab a win over Delhi
Kings XI Punjab defeated Delhi Capitals by 14 runs in the ongoing VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) as Englishman Sam Curran takes a hattrick.
Delhi were looking favorites at 137/3 before the collapse started. Rishabh Pant and Chris Morris got out to Mohammad Shami in consecutive deliveries in 17th over of the innings. Sam Curran got Colin Ingram in the fourth ball of 18th over and took the wicket of Harshal Patel in the last ball of the 18th over. Shami once again got the better of Hanuma Vihari in the 19th over. Sam Curran came in to bowl the last over as he took the wickets of Kagiso Rabada and Sandeep Lamichhane in the first two deliveries of last over to complete his hattrick.
Earlier, Delhi won the toss and invited Punjab to bat first. David Miller was the top scorer for Punjab with 43 runs off 30 ball including 4 fours and 2 sixes. Sarfaraz Khan contributed 39 runs from 29 balls. Chris Morris picked up 3 wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane and Kagiso Rabada shared 2 wickets each.
