DPL Day 1: Kathmandu start with a win over Dhangadi

Kathmandu Goldens defeated Dhangadi Team Chauraha by 7 wickets in the first match of the Dhangadi Premier League (DPL). Kathmandu chased down the target of 146 runs from 18.4 overs with 7 wickets in hand.
Kathmandu invited Dhangadi to bat first after winning the toss. Dhangadifinished on 145/6 from 20 overs.. Sunil Dhamala was the top scorer for Dhangadi at the top of the order with a 57 ball 68. Shankar Rana scored 36 runs from 31 balls for Dhangadi. Shahab Alam was the pick of the bowlers for Kathmandu as he finished with the figures of 3-23 from his quota of 4 overs.Rashaid Khan, Kishor Mahato and Sunny Patel shared a wicket each.
Kathmandu in reply started well with openers Amit Shrestha andJaykishan Kolsawala. Kolsawala was out for 16 runs while Amit remained notout on 81 runs off 65 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. Naresh Budhayer supported him with an unbeaten innings of 24 runs from 18 balls which included a four and 2 sixes.
