England level series with Hales's half century
Alex Hales with his unbeaten 58 runs guided England to victory over India by 5 wickets in the second T20 at Cardiff on Friday.
England chased down the targe4t of 149 runs in the last over as Hales scored 58 runs off 41 balls with 3 sixes and 4 fours. With this win, the series is levelled at 1-1 as the series decider will be played at Bristol on Sunday.
Batting first, India could manager148/5 from their 50 overs. Skipper Virat Kohli was the top scorer for India with 47 runs while MS Dhoni hit some crucial runs at the end of the innnings as he remained unbeaten on 32 runs. Plunkett,Willey,Ball andRashid picked up a wicket each while Shikhar Dhawan was runout.
England in reply were once struggling at 3-44 but Hales kept his nerves cool to guide his team to victory.Set 149 to win off their 20 overs England needed 12 off the final over and Hales put Bhuvneshwar Kumar out of the Cardiff ground off the first ball and the second for four. A single followed and David Willey hit Kumar for the winning runs to set up the decider on Monday.
