Dominant India beat Ireland by 76 runs in first T20
Dominant India outperformed Ireland in the first T20 match at Dublin on Wednesday to take a 1-0 lead in the 2 match series.
Ireland invited India to bat first after winning the toss. India made a solid start with both openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan completing their half centuries. Rohit and Dhawan put on 160 runs for the first wicket from 16 overs. Dhawan was out for 74 while Rohit missed his century by just 3 runs.Peter Chase was the pick of the bowlers for Ireland as he finished with the figures of 4-35 from his 4 overs.
Ireland in reply never looked like chasing the target down.James Shannon was the lone warrior for Ireland as he scored 60 runs off 35 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Kuldeep Yadav picked up 4 wickets for India while Yuzvendra Chahal bagged 3 and Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets.
