India lead series 1-0 with Kedar heroics
India defeated Australia by 6 wickets in the fist ODI atHyderabad on Sunday to take a 1-0 lead in the 5 match series. Kedar Jadhav (81) and MS Dhoni (59) lead the way as India chased down a target of 237 with 6 wickets remaining.
India lost Shikhar Dhawan in the first ball of the second over for a duck. Rohit Sharma(37) and Virat Kohli(44) then added 76 runs for the second wicket before Virat was sent back to the pavilion by Adam Zampa. Rohit also got out soon as he was caught by Aaron Finch off Nathan Coulter-Nile. Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni then added 141 runs as India chased down the target without further hiccups.
Earlier the day, Australia finished on 236/7 in their allotted 50 overs after they won the toss and elected to bat first. Usman Khawaja scored 50 while Glenn Maxwell contributed 40 runs for the Australian side. Mohammad Shami was the pick of the bowlers for India as he finished with the figures of 2-44 from his quota of 10 overs which included 2 maiden overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav shared 2 wickets each while Kedar Jahdav chipped in with a wicket.
