India defeated New Zealand by 90 runs in the second ODI to lead the 5 match series 2-0. Runs from the bat of the openers and spinners doing the damage with the ballwas crucial for India's victory.
Openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan put on 154 run partnership for the first wicket in 25,2 overs. Dhawan scored 66 while Rohit was out for 96 ball 87. Man of the Match Rohit Sharma scored 9 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. After Dhawan and Rohit got out, Virat scored 43 while Rayudu scored 47. MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav remained unbeaten on 48 and 22 runs respectively. Lockie Ferguson and Trent Boult picked up 2 wickets each for New Zealand.
