Jitendra Singh Thakuri leads GoldenGate to Finals with a century
In the Caribbean Inter College Cricket Tournament, the 1st Semi final match today was played between CARIBBEAN COLLEGE and PATAN MULTIPLE COLLEGE at the Pulchowk Engineering Campus Cricket Ground.
PMC won the toss and decided to bat first. PMC were the 1st team to qualify for the Finals by winning the match against CARIBBEAN college by 11 runs. PMC scored an impressive 122 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Rajan Chaudhary from PMC was declared the Man of the Match as he scored the highest with 46 runs from 48 balls. Subash Negi scored 37 runs in 46 balls. Aajad Sharma from CARIBBEAN took 3 wickets in 4 overs giving away 21 runs while Kamal Sharma took 2 wickets in 4 overs at the loss of 19 runs.
CARIBBEAN College made 111 runs in 20 over with the loss of 5 wickets. Bishal Thapa was the highest scorer from CARIBBEAN with 30 runs in 26 balls and Sagar Pakhrin took 25 runs in 41 balls.
Second Semi Final:
In the Caribbean Inter College Cricket Tournament second semi final match today , NCC won the toss and elected to bat first. NCC scored 152 runs in 20 overs at the loss 7 wickets. Mahesh Chettri was the highest scorer from NCC with 33 runs in 23 balls.
GOLDENGATE won the match in an exciting finish and were able to reach their target of 153 runs in 19.3 overs losing only 2 wickets.
Jitendra Singh Thakuri from GOLDENGATE was declared the Man of the Match as he scored a century in 71 balls, also taking 3 wickets in 4 overs at the loss of only 22 runs. GOLDENGATE won the match by 8 wickets.
