SAG Cricket : Nepal lose to strong Bangladesh
Bangladesh U23 defeated Nepal by 44 runs in the ongoing South Asian Games (SAG).
Nepal won the toss and elected to field first. Bangladesh finished on 155/6 in the first innings. Najmul Shanto was the star with the bat for Bangladesh as he remained unbeaten on 75. Shanto scored 4 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. Atif Hossain made 28 ball 52 including 6 fours and a six.
Paras khadka was the pick of the bowlers for Nepal as he finished with the bowling figures of 3-15. Dipendra Airee chipped in with 2 wickets while Avinash Bohora bagged 1 wicket.
Nepal in reply finished on 111/9 falling short of the target by 44 runs. Skipper Gyanendra Malla was the top scorer for Nepal with 43 runs which included 3 fours and a six. Dipendra Singh Airee scored 16 runs while other batsmen could not contribute significantly.
