Sunrisers beat Mumbai in a nail biting finish
Sunrisers Hyderabad registered their second vicotry as they defeat defending champions Mumbai Indians by 1 wicket in a last ball thriller. Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down 148-run target with just a wicket remaining in the last ball of the inning.
Sunrisers invited Mumbai to bat first after winning the toss. Mumbai finished on 147/8 from 20 overs. Evin Lewis was the top scorer for Mumbai with 29 runs while Kieron Pollard and Suryakumar Yadav scored 28 runs each. Rashid Khan was economical for Sunrisers as he finished with the figures of 1-13 from his 4 overs which included 18 dot balls. Sandeep Sharma, Billy Stanlake and Siddharth Kaul picked up 2 wickets each while Shakib Al Hasan chipped in with a wicket.
Chasing a modest target of 148 runs, Hyderabad got off to a good start as Wriddiman Saha and Shikhar Dhawan put on 62 runs for the first wicket. Saha scored 22 runs while Dhawan as out for 28 ball 45.Mustafizur Rahman andMayank Markande brought Mumbai back to the game with quick wickets near the end of the innings as Sunrisers needed 11 runs from the last over with one wicket remaining. It was Deepak Hooda who hit the first ball for six as the equation came down to 5 runs from 5 balls. Stanlake scored a four in the last ball to secure a victory for his team.
