Pollard named as new West Indies ODI and T20I captain

The hard hitting West Indian allrounder Kieron Pollard has been named as the new One DayInternational and Twenty20 International captain. However, Jason Holder will continue leading the side in Test Format.

Pollard hasn't playedan ODI since October 2016. Jason Holder has been captaining the West Indies ODI team since 2015. Pollard will replaceCarlos Brathwaite as the skipper in the shortest format of the game T20 Internationals.

Since his ODI debut in the 2007 Cricket World Cup, Pollard has played in 101 ODI games andwas also a part of West Indies' T20 World Cup winning campaign in 2012.
